Nursing Home Chef Role
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive full-time chef to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, fresh meals that cater to a range of dietary requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing culinary expertise or qualification with knowledge of HACCP guidelines, hygiene, and food safety regulations
* Previous experience in a medical or care-of-the-elderly setting, preferably working with different food textures
* In-depth knowledge of dietary requirements, including diabetic diets
* Experience in managing a kitchen, including stock rotation, ordering, supervising kitchen assistants, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work flexible hours across weekdays and weekends. Manual handling is essential, and further training will be provided for the nursing home environment.
