Walker Cole International is searching for a Quality Assurance Director to join a Pharmaceutical client based in Dublin.
This is a senior leadership position with the opportunity to shape and drive a European Quality function.
As Quality Assurance Director, you will have overall responsibility for the Quality strategy in Europe, ensuring full compliance with GMP and GDP regulations while supporting business expansion and regulatory readiness across the region.
Responsibilities
Leading and managing the GMP/GDP Quality function based in Dublin, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements
Defining and driving the Quality strategy, working closely with the UK and global stakeholders on wider regulatory strategy
Acting as the senior Quality representative for Europe, developing and maintaining strong relationships with regulatory authorities including HPRA and EMA
Providing oversight and governance of quality systems, including CAPAs, deviations, change controls, audits, and self‑inspections
Supporting regulatory inspections and ensuring inspection readiness across European operations
Building and developing a high‑performing Quality team to support current operations and future growth
Qualifications
Significant senior‑level experience within Quality Assurance in the pharmaceutical industry, operating to GMP and GDP standards
Strong experience engaging with HPRA and other EU regulatory bodies
Qualified Person (QP) status is advantageous (or demonstrable experience working closely with QPs/RPs)
Proven ability to act independently, make strategic decisions, and lead Quality functions in a growing or evolving organisation
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at senior and regulatory level
