Parker Stewart is urgently seeking Quantity Surveyors at junior and intermediate levels for multiple roles base in Munster.
The successful candidates will a rapidly growing construction company to deliver ambitious projects with some the country's most recognisable names.
Responsibilities:
1. Advise on contractual matters – general and project level.
2. Process contractual claims and all associated records.
3. Look for opportunities to maximise revenue and reduce cost and identify and investigate losses.
4. Assist with project cash management.
5. Advise and support with project correspondence.
6. Negotiating subcontract and suppliers' prices and terms.
7. Ensure final accounts are closed in a timely manner.
8. Prepare subcontract and suppliers documents.
9. Prepare and review monthly cost reports.
10. Ensure risk registers, variation trackers and extension of time tracker sheets are reviewed and updated monthly
11. Variations: measurement and pricing.
Requirements:
12. Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management
13. 1+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on construction projects based in Ireland
14. Ability to work on large scale, high headcount construction sites & sub-contractors essential.
15. Liaise with Commercial Manager and Contracts Manager when dealing with internal stakeholders and client's representatives while on site including attendance at meetings
16. Strong time management skills.
17. Must have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
18. Strong understanding of the construction industry and working on site
19. Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals
