* Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist (Full time & Part time Temporary contracts)
St Patrick’s Mental Health Services seeks a Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to provide the highest standard of care to service users with mental health difficulties. The Psychology Department is a dynamic, innovative unit that delivers a wide variety of psychology‑led group programmes and works closely with a multidisciplinary team (MDT). The candidate should have a track record of working with adults or adolescents with mental health difficulties, strong psychological formulation skills, and experience delivering evidence‑based interventions. Evidence of leadership qualities and the ability to develop and evaluate client‑centred interventions is essential. Experience delivering groups is desirable.
These positions are onsite only.
Qualifications and Experience
* Recognised university degree or diploma (QQI level 8 equivalent) with 1st or 2nd class honours in Psychology, or an equivalent recognised post‑graduate qualification in clinical or counselling psychology validated by the Department of Health.
* Experience working in an adult or adolescent mental health service.
* Five years of clinical experience, including time spent in postgraduate training in Clinical/Counselling Psychology.
* Certified training in the Mental Health Act (written confirmation required by commencement).

Responsibilities
* Accountable to the Director of Psychology for service provision and compliance with professional standards.
* Provide high‑quality clinical practice and care within the Psychology Department.
* Participate in MDT meetings and coordinate with other professional staff.
* Deliver psychological group‑based treatment programmes.
* Carry out assessments and provide feedback to teams and patients.
* Implement treatment strategies and document progress appropriately.
* Supervise Psychologists in Clinical Training, Assistant Psychologists and Staff Grade Psychologists as required.
* Attend own professional supervision regularly.
* Engage in CPD, research and develop knowledge in areas of interest.
* Perform any additional duties relevant to the role when required.
* Respond to the needs of the department across various sites, including Willow Grove Adolescent Unit and Lucan.
