The role of Assistant Director of Nursing is a key position within the nursing home, providing clinical and operational management support to the Director of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Director of Nursing in leading and supervising the delivery of evidence-based nursing care.
* Monitor and evaluate clinical practices to ensure they meet current standards.
* Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
* Oversee infection prevention and control measures in line with updated guidelines.
* Assist in preparing for, responding to, and following up on inspections and audits.
* Maintain and update required documentation, including risk registers, incident logs, care plans, and audit results.
* Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and care staff, promoting continuous professional development.
* Participate in recruitment, onboarding, rostering, and performance appraisals.
* Facilitate regular team meetings, clinical supervision, and reflective practice sessions.
Our ideal candidate will have:
* A Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification with active registration.
* A minimum of 3 years experience in nursing management or a similar aged care setting.
* Demonstrated knowledge of HIQA standards and relevant legislation.
* Leadership training and/or a management qualification is desirable.
* Postgraduate qualification in nursing leadership is an asset.
