Responsibilities
Embodies the SLPC’s equity, diversity and inclusion principles while interacting with staff and guests.
Greets, orients and directs guests, communicating key event information and safety reminders at the YGK Craft Beer Fest.
Rotates between roles including greeter, ID checker/bracelet administrator, beverage team assisting vendors, and other operational roles as needed.
Assists with congestion of arriving ticket holders, providing direction and critical way‑finding services.
Actively listens to guest feedback and ensures concerns are escalated appropriately.
Ensures a safe and enjoyable experience by monitoring the assigned zone, reporting hazards, and providing excellent customer service.
Required Skills and Experience
Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Willingness to work long hours for the duration of this one‑day event.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
Knowledge of customer service techniques to provide an enjoyable guest experience.
Understanding and ability to meet the safety standards required for the position.
Understanding of tourism and its economic impact.
Communication, Interpersonal & Teamwork Skills
Strong verbal communication skills to effectively greet visitors and articulate information clearly and concisely, remaining professional and calm.
Ability to exercise initiative and work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
Ability to communicate with enthusiasm and contribute to maintaining an enjoyable guest and staff experience.
Other Skills
Ability to arrive to work on‑time and prepared to begin a shift with a positive attitude.
Ability to learn all safety protocols and procedures to ensure guest and staff safety.
Ability to memorize key event information and health and safety regulations to communicate with guests.
