Overview An experienced Senior Microsoft Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer is required to support a large-scale Microsoft cloud and infrastructure environment. The role focuses on the design, implementation, and support of Azure, Windows Server, and Microsoft 365 platforms, alongside delivering key cloud transformation and migration projects. This position will play a key role in tenant migrations, Microsoft 365 transformations, and modern workplace initiatives, ensuring secure, scalable, and well-governed environments. Key Responsibilities Azure & Cloud Infrastructure Design, deploy, and manage solutions within Microsoft Azure. Implement and support core Azure services including Virtual Machines, Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID, Virtual Networks, VPNs, NSGs, Storage Accounts, and Backup and Disaster Recovery. Monitor and optimise Azure environments for performance, security, and cost efficiency. Windows Server & Core Infrastructure Deploy and administer Windows Server environments. Manage and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP. Design and implement hybrid identity solutions integrating on-premises infrastructure with Microsoft 365. Microsoft 365 & Exchange Online Implement, configure, and support Microsoft 365 services. Manage and troubleshoot Exchange Online environments including mail flow configuration, mailbox migrations, hybrid Exchange deployments, and security and compliance controls. SharePoint & File Share Migrations Plan and execute file share to SharePoint Online migrations. Utilise migration tools such as SharePoint Migration Tool and ShareGate. Ensure appropriate data structure, permissions, and governance during migrations. Tenant-to-Tenant Migrations Deliver Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations including Exchange Online mailboxes using CloudiWay, SharePoint and OneDrive data using ShareGate, and Microsoft Teams environments using ShareGate. Manage identity migrations and domain transitions within Microsoft Entra ID. Endpoint Management & Modern Workplace Design and support endpoint management solutions using Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager. Manage the full device lifecycle including provisioning, configuration, compliance management, updates, and retirement. Implement Windows Autopilot for zero-touch device deployment. Manage device configuration policies and application deployment. Security & Governance Implement Microsoft security best practices including Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and identity governance. Ensure alignment with Microsoft security frameworks and compliance standards. Implement and manage data classification policies across Microsoft 365 services. Project Delivery Contribute to cloud transformation and infrastructure projects. Produce technical documentation, architecture designs, and migration plans. Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for production environments. Automation & Optimisation Develop and maintain automation using PowerShell scripting. Improve operational efficiency through automation, monitoring, and proactive maintenance. Key Requirements Technical Experience Strong experience with Microsoft Azure. Microsoft 365 administration. Active Directory / Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID). Windows Server environments. Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager. PowerShell automation. Exchange Online migrations using CloudiWay.
