Job Opportunity for a Shift Manager
Shift Manager is required to oversee and manage all aspects of food production operations during the evening shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining seamless workflows and resolving issues as they arise from both an operation and personnel aspect.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively manage the team to meet daily/weekly production plan demand.
* Assess project and resource requirements.
* Ensure there is a comprehensive program of continuous improvement in place to improve quality, performance, efficiency and reduce costs through structured problem- solving activities (5s and Lean Projects) in line with company Quality Policies and systems.
* Estimating, negotiating, and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers.
* Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met.
* Overseeing production processes.
* Monitor KPIs, health and safety regulations, team budgets and more
* Working with general manager, transport manager and purchasing manager to ensure the smooth running of the business.
Requirements:
* Experience within a similar role ideally within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
* Managerial/supervisory /team leader experience.
* A lean manufacturing background or a strong focus on continuous improvement.
* Ability to be flexible and adaptable in line with company requirements.
* Excellent Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication.
* Working knowledge of MRP Systems.
* Working knowledge of production planning in a fast-paced environment.
