This is a key leadership role that will shape how technology supports the business both today and into the future.
Responsibilities
Reporting into the Director of Finance & IT, you will be responsible for defining and delivering the organisation's IT strategy, ensuring technology enables business performance, operational efficiency, and future growth. You will:
Lead the IT function, manage critical technology infrastructure and systems, and partner closely with business leaders to identify opportunities where technology can deliver real value.
Develop and deliver a clear IT strategy aligned with business priorities and long-term growth plans.
Lead and develop the IT team, creating a high-performing culture focused on service delivery, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Oversee the organisation's IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, applications, and analytics platforms.
Ensure the security, resilience, and performance of all IT systems, supporting both operational and administrative functions.
Drive the successful delivery of IT programmes and projects, ensuring they deliver measurable business value.
Establish strong governance across cybersecurity, data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and external partners to ensure effective and cost-efficient service delivery.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on technology trends, digital opportunities, and innovation.
Experience
A strategic technology leader who can balance strong technical understanding with commercial awareness within a manufacturing environment.
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Experience leading and developing IT functions within a complex organisation.
A strong track record of delivering enterprise IT solutions and managing technology transformation.
Experience managing IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, and data platforms either direct or through third party relationships.
The ability to lead organisational change across technology, processes, and people.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at senior leadership level.
A collaborative leadership style combined with strong commercial awareness and a focus on delivering results.
