Position Summary

Beacon Hospital Research Institute (BHRI) was established in 2017 to promote and support research activities in Beacon Hospital (CTM) is responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of clinical research studies from start-up through close-out – in line with wider Beacon Hospital strategy. This role ensures that trials are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and company standards. The CTM collaborates cross-functionally with clinical operations, regulatory, data management, and external partners to deliver high-quality clinical data that supports regulatory submissions and product development.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day management of assigned clinical trials, including timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
* Develop and maintain trial management plans, study protocols, and other essential study documents.
* Lead site selection, initiation, monitoring, and close-out activities.
* Develop and foster strong partner relationships with academia, industry sponsors, funding and regulatory bodies as well as internal stakeholders.
* Monitor study progress, identify risks or issues, and implement corrective action plans.
* Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, applicable regulations including GDPR, and Beacon Hospital Policies and Procedure.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (diagnostics including radiology and laboratory, regulatory, data management, quality and patient safety, medical office) to ensure smooth trial operations.
* Prepare study updates, metrics, and reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies as needed.
* Train, mentor, and oversee Clinical Research Associates (CRAs), Clinical Trials nurses and other research staff.
* Collaborate with wider organisation stakeholders including but not limited to clinical partners, hospital leadership, quality and patient safety, finance and marketing
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, nursing, pharmacy, or related field
* Masters degree including research methodology / risk/ compliance desirable
Experience
(Amount and Type)
* 5+ years of clinical research experience in an acute hospital setting, including at least 2 years in a clinical trial management or leadership role.
* Experience in strategic development of Clinical Research in acute hospital setting
* Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines, National Research Ethics Committee regulations, EU and international clinical trial requirements.
Job Specific Competencies and Knowledge
* Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency with clinical trial management systems (CTMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills
* Experience in Oncology
* Familiarity with electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
* Prior involvement in regulatory submissions (NREC)
