Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Dublin 12
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our client, a leading supplier of material handling systems and postal automation solutions in Ireland. This is a permanent position located on site in Dublin 12, working with state-of-the-art automation and material handling technology.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and hands-on support to a busy maintenance team, ensuring high levels of equipment availability, performance, and safety within a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
•Assist with the day-to-day management of the maintenance team, providing both hands-on technical support and organisational leadership.
•Act as the first level of escalation for equipment faults and technical issues.
•Diagnose and fault-find issues across automated systems using OEM documentation and supplier support.
•Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive maintenance activities, ensuring all tasks are completed and signed off.
•Support and coordinate corrective, predictive, and preventative maintenance activities to minimise downtime.
•Maintain accurate fault reporting, maintenance records, and documentation in line with ISO quality standards.
•Support the management of shift rotas, holiday cover, training, and skill development within the team.
•Promote strong working relationships across maintenance teams, operations, and shift management.
•Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and best practices.
We Are Interested in Speaking With:
•Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineers seeking a supervisory or leadership role, OR
•Experienced Maintenance Technicians ready to progress into team leadership, OR
•Candidates with extensive hands-on experience in automated, high-speed production or sortation environments
Key Requirements:
•Recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Level 7+ desirable).
•Proven experience in hands-on fault finding across electrical, mechanical, electronic, and automated systems.
•Strong knowledge of automation, material handling equipment and high-speed sortation systems
•Experience leading, coaching, and supporting maintenance teams in an operational environment.
•Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage PM schedules, rotas, and maintenance priorities.
•Excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
•Solid understanding of health and safety requirements within a technical or industrial environment.
