About the Role
Artemis Human Capital has partnered with a rapidly expanding energy infrastructure business in Northern Ireland to recruit a commercial real estate solicitor. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of a sustainable future by facilitating the expansion of EV charging networks across Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Negotiate and draft lease agreements with property owners and public entities for the installation of EV charging stations.
* Conduct thorough due diligence on potential sites, addressing title issues, easements, and planning permissions.
* Prepare and manage various legal documents, including option agreements, memoranda of understanding, and construction contracts.
* Collaborate with external legal counsel as necessary.
* Ensure all real estate transactions comply with relevant planning laws, zoning regulations, and environmental standards.
* Stay updated on changes in legislation affecting property and energy infrastructure.
* Identify and mitigate potential legal risks associated with property acquisitions and leases.
* Provide strategic advice to internal stakeholders on real estate matters.
* Liaise with local authorities, utility providers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
* Represent the company in negotiations and consultations with external parties.
Qualifications:
* Qualified solicitor (2-5 years PQE) with a current practicing certificate in the Republic of Ireland.
* Proven experience in commercial real estate law, particularly in site acquisition and leasing.
* Familiarity with planning laws, environmental regulations, and energy infrastructure requirements.
* Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
