The Role
Sigmar Recruitment is partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation in Portlaoise to recruit an
EH&S Manager
on an initial
6-month fixed term contract
.
The successful candidate
must have experience within a manufacturing environment, including working with hazardous chemicals
.
EHS Manager Key Responsibilities
Ensure site compliance with HSA, EPA, and corporate EH&S standards
Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective/preventative actions
Manage contractor safety, permits to work, and JSA processes
Deliver EH&S training and support employee and contractor compliance
Conduct EH&S audits, inspections, and KPI reporting
Support emergency planning, ERP drills, and site security requirements
EHS Manager Requirements
Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related discipline
Proven EH&S experience in a manufacturing environment involving hazardous chemicals
Strong knowledge of Irish EH&S legislation
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
