Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM)
.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced
Senior Staff Nurse
ready to take the next step in their career, or for an established CNM seeking a rewarding leadership role within a supportive and resident-focused environment.
The Role
As Clinical Nurse Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day clinical leadership of the nursing team, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered to residents while promoting best practice, professional development, and a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the multidisciplinary team to ensure exceptional resident-centred care
Lead and support nursing staff in delivering high-quality, evidence-based practice
Liaise closely with medical and allied healthcare professionals
Report clinical matters appropriately to the Director of Nursing
Support staff onboarding, orientation, and ongoing development
Promote excellent standards of written and verbal communication across the team
Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve nursing practice and care delivery
Encourage resident independence, wellness, and family involvement
Embrace change and implement initiatives that enhance clinical excellence
Ensure mandatory training compliance across the team
Support nurses' involvement in clinical decision-making and care planning
Supervise nutritional requirements and resident wellbeing
Ensure safekeeping of residents' personal property
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience in the elderly care or nursing home sector
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and
HIQA Standards
Evidence of continuous professional development
Excellent clinical and resident care skills
Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Computer literacy
High standard of written and spoken English
