The resort consists of two hotels, a 5-star and a 3-star rating, alongside a world-renowned golf and country club, multiple fine-dining restaurants and bars, a deluxe spa, retail outlets, activities such as falconry and clay pigeon shooting.
The resort staffs over 500 people, consistently ranking among the top hotel resorts in Europe.
Your New Role
You will report directly into the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and work closely with them.
This role is broad and would suit someone passionate about hospitality, with a sincere interest in finance and business management.
Key responsibilities include:
* Coordinating the finance and purchasing departments
* Overseeing day-to-day bookkeeping, producing month-end management accounts, and coordinating internal and external audits
* Managing payroll processing across the resort
In addition, you will act as a business partner to all heads of departments across both hotels and the wider resort.
This role requires a tight handle on cost controls, budgeting, forecasting, and variance/margin analysis, making it commercially focused.
This is an all-encompassing position offering unique exposure to every area of a high-performing hospitality business.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must be a fully qualified accountant with relevant professional accreditation (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
Prior experience in hospitality, preferably at a senior finance level or Financial Controller/Senior Accountant position, is advantageous.
People leadership and management experience are also beneficial, although not essential.
The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, commercial acumen, and business sense, accustomed to working to very high standards.
