We see experienced and proactive Construction Engineer, who will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of structural works on a major infrastructure construction project at Dublin Airport.
Working under the direction of the Site Agent, the role will ensure that all structural activities are executed safely, in accordance with drawings, specifications, programme requirements, and airport operational constraints.
Role Responsibility: *Set out and oversee the construction of structural elements, including reinforced concrete, foundations, steelwork, and associated works *Ensure work is carried out in accordance with contract drawings, specifications, and technical standards *Resolve technical issues on site in coordination with the design and commercial teams *Implement and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for structural works *Carry out site inspections, checks, and surveys, ensuring accurate as-built records *Ensure compliance with project HSEQ requirements, site safety rules, and airport regulations *Support safety audits, toolbox talks, and site briefings *Maintain high standards of housekeeping in structural work areas *Assist the Site Agent in managing the programme of structural works *Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and plant operations to meet programme targets *Liaise with other disciplines (civils, M&E, architectural) to ensure integrated delivery *Identify potential constraints and support mitigation measures *Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress records, and technical queries *Prepare and close out RFIs, technical submittals, and as-built documentation *Provide regular progress updates to the Site Agent Structures *Support handover documentation and project close-out activities ESSENTIAL CRITERIA *Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering *Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structures *Experience working on large infrastructure or complex construction project *Ability to read, interpret, and implement structural drawings and specifications *Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality *Effective communication skills with site teams, subcontractors, and management DESIRABLE CRITERIA *Experience on airport, aviation, or high-security live environments *Relevant Safe Pass and airport security clearances *Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng / CEng MIEI) status If you are interested in, please send your updated profile to Please note, you must be eligible to undertake full time job in Ireland with no further restriction to be considered for the role.
