As Meetings & Events Sales Manager, you will report to the General Manager, Area Sales Manager, and Business Development Manager. You will guide and manage hotel operations effectively, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strategic growth, and high-performance standards while fostering a positive work environment and driving financial success.

Your Job:
* Proactively generate inquiries for meetings and events for the team.
* Source and secure new wedding bookings, corporate functions, and special events for the hotel.
* Collaborate with both proactive and reactive sales teams to achieve the budgeted revenue for meetings and events on a weekly and monthly basis.
* Update the revenue board every week, ensuring that the client databases and the CRM system are up to date.
* Manage the payment structure for all events and attend weekly project management meetings.
* Contribute ideas and activities to boost revenue for the quarterly and annual sales and marketing plan.
* Conduct site inspections of the property with potential clients.
* Organize wedding fairs and conduct tours for prospective clients.
* Be available on weekends to facilitate client bookings/detailing/showarounds etc.
* Manage feedback from "Trust You" and all client interactions, coordinating with other departments as necessary.
* Support the Front Office team with answering the switchboard and taking bedroom sales enquiries as required.
* Negotiate with clients to maximize revenue and profit potential while meeting their needs.
* Finalize prospects as confirmed bookings and maximize revenue potential by upselling in all revenue-generating areas.
* Oversee third-party Cvent inquiries, which will be a key market in 2025.
* Manage larger residential conference bookings for groups of over 120 attendees.
* Review function sheets at the beginning of each week, collaborate with the team, and make necessary amendments in time for the weekly function sheet meeting.
What You Will Need:
* 2 to 3 years of experience in a sales or meeting & events role, preferably in a hotel or customer-focused environment.
* A creative thinker with an outgoing personality, capable of building new relationships and maintaining existing ones.
* Proven experience in effective people management within a team environment.
* Meeting & Events Sales-focused, target-driven, and results-oriented.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide clear reports to clients and colleagues.
* Confident, ambitious, and proactive in approach.
* Experience with Opera System advantageous but not essential.
