The Carbon Lead drives the MetroLink carbon strategy, collaborating across directorates to identify and implement reduction opportunities. They establish performance metrics, lead measurement frameworks, and ensure targets align with global best practice, partnering with contractors and consultants to deliver innovative, measurable carbon savings throughout the project lifecycle.
You’ll Be Responsible For
Managing high‑quality project delivery from inception to construction, ensuring robust systems and timely outputs.
Managing budgets, mitigating risks and supporting long‑term business sustainability aligned with Mace values.
Directing teams and consultants collaboratively, driving performance, innovation and best‑practice delivery.
Managing the delivery of MetroLink’s carbon management plan, embedding reduction strategies across all directorates.
Establishing metrics, reporting frameworks and overseeing performance monitoring to meet project targets.
Providing expert guidance on low carbon materials, methods and procurement requirements.
Driving innovation, engaging stakeholders and supporting strategic planning to strengthen carbon performance.
You’ll Need To Have
Extensive sustainability and carbon management experience on major infrastructure programmes.
Proven ability to embed carbon reduction through technical, analytical and value‑driven solutions.
Strong communication, stakeholder management and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
Degree in a relevant field; professional memberships and carbon‑related certifications advantageous.
