Your new company is a leading building and civil engineering contractor working across several industries. They are currently looking for a Purchasing Administrator to join their team.
Your new role
In this role you will support the procurement team to streamline procurement operations. This is a fully office-based role.
Your responsibilities
1. Performing general admin duties such as filing, data entry, and document management
2. Ensuring all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal requirements
3. Ensuring approvals are in place in accordance with agreed procedures
4. Carry out due diligence on new account requests
5. Communicate with site regarding the progress of vendor set-ups
6. Update the new account trackers for all new requests, update the database and record all information in accordance with the agreed process.
7. Issues relevant forms to potential new vendors
8. Collate and review all received forms and send for managers' approval.
9. Weekly review of supplier insurance for all entities: contacting suppliers to request new insurance certificates where required, including monitoring insurance mailbox.
10. Under team guidance, review received certificates and confirm the appropriate level and type of insurance are in place: recording documentation as per agreed procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
11. 1-2 years experience in a similar administrative role
12. Ability to work proactively and meet deadlines
13. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
