We are seeking a Project Electrical Engineer to act as the point of contact for Electrical, Controls, Instrumentation, Life Safety, and Security systems. The role will involve supporting design, vendor management, and project delivery across pharmaceutical/life sciences facilities, ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and approve design deliverables (drawings, datasheets, specifications, engineering lists).Provide electrical engineering support for in-house projects, including load calculations, redlines, instrument datasheets, I/O lists, and certification processes.Prepare/review electrical & controls drawings (SLDs, schematics, layouts, loop drawings).Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, and industry standards.Participate in design reviews, 3D model reviews, HAZOPs, FATs, SATs, and construction walkdowns.Manage vendor packages and contractor deliverables for GMP/non-GMP systems.Lead electrical walkdowns, punch list closure, and support commissioning & qualification (CQV) activities.Support bid package development, procurement, and technical evaluation of bids.Liaise across project teams to ensure alignment of E&I systems throughout the project lifecycle.Experience & Skills5+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical/life sciences design, construction, and commissioning.Strong knowledge of power distribution, UPS, generators, lighting, containment, fire alarm, earthing/bonding, hazardous areas, and security systems.Qualified Electrician (FETAC accredited) with industrial experience.Degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent qualification with Trade BackgroundExperience with instrumentation, controls, and functional safety.Proficiency in troubleshooting E&I systems in GMP environments.Familiarity with relevant electrical codes and standards.Skilled communicator, able to collaborate with design teams, vendors, and site teams.Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, MS Project, SAP, and related engineering tools.Job DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Engineering and DesignIndustries: Engineering Services, Electric Power Transmission, Control, and Distribution, and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
