Job Description
We are currently seeking experienced individuals to join our team as Simulator Pilots. In this role, you will act as a pseudo pilot for our Air Traffic Controller students, operating the desktop simulator with clearances and instructions from ATCOs.
Your primary responsibilities include:
* Operating the desktop simulator with precision and accuracy
* Making initial inputs to the simulator to ensure smooth operation
* Ensuring simulated aircraft adhere to controllers' instructions
* Issuing radio calls for aircraft in a clear and concise manner
You will receive comprehensive training to provide necessary skills for the job, covering topics such as desktop simulator operation and air traffic control procedures.
This is an employment contract on a mutual agreement basis, meaning you will be offered hours when there is high demand for pilots. You may not be offered any hours for long periods of time, but we will endeavor to provide at least three weeks' notice before offering hours.
Working shifts are Monday to Friday, usually from 09:30 am to 05:30 pm, but hours offered may not fall into a regular pattern or schedule. You can refuse hours if they are unsuitable for any reason.
Your Team
You will be part of a team of other Simulator Pilots and Simulator Specialists, working together to deliver quality training to our students.
Your Background
We are looking for someone with:
* Excellent communication skills in English (speaking and writing)
* A strong interest in aviation
* A valid permit to work in Ireland
* Good PC skills
A positive approach, ability to collaborate with colleagues, and high level of multitasking capability are essential qualities for this role.
