We are presently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for our clients in County Cork. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience, either chartered or SCSI registered working towards chartership. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across the country. You will come with 5+ years’ experience in a consultancy service/project management focused company and will lead and manage the Quantity Surveying function across multiple projects around Ireland. This is a permanent position based in County Cork.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the Quantity Surveying function across multiple projects.
2. Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities (BOQ’s) to ARM4/5 and schedule of rates (SOR).
3. Provide accurate estimates and manage project costs.
4. Evaluate and negotiate contracts, contract changes, and variations.
5. Assist with the preparation of cost plans and cash flow projections.
6. Implement document controls and filing systems.
7. Maintain regular communication with clients, contractors, and design teams.
8. Assist with the preparation of progress reports.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
* Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction consultancy sector.
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies, cost management, and contract administration.
