Job Summary
Responsible for the operation, employees and processes of the warehouse/inventory and oversight of Goods Receiving; storing, picking & packing and distributing goods internally to achieve short- and long-term goals and KPI's.Overall responsibility to optimize use of material / material AvT, and take to collaborative actions, across internal Departments where needed.
Key Responsibilities
Manage materials ordering within budget and ensure optimal stock levels using Days on Hand data
Oversee quality control of incoming goods and monitor material waste/deadstock
Lead Warehouse/Stores team including recruitment, training, and performance management
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the department
Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, security, and audit requirements
Manage day-to-day Goods Receiving and inventory operations within budget
Collaborate with Ordering, IDS, and Production teams to maintain stock levels and meet KPIs
Monitor and replenish floating stock and rotable equipment on the shop floor
Communicate with internal/external stakeholders on irregularities and implement corrective actions
Oversee supplier performance standards with Procurement support
Education
Degree educated preferred and/or relevant equivalent work experience at a similar level.
Professional qualification in operations/logistics preferred.
Work Experience
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
Proven experience of managing teams within a warehouse, manufacturing, airline catering or production process.
Minimum of 3 years management experience with demonstrable leadership and/or management activities and responsibilities.
Technical Skills
Level 3 HACCP certification
Proven leadership ability
Level 3 Food Safety certification
Level 3 Workplace Health & Safety / NEBOSH Certification or commitment to complete
Ability to lead and manage diverse teams of varying sizes.
Good negotiating and persuasive skills.
Ability to effectively manage conflict.
Ability to motivate and driver performance.
