We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team for the position of Day Service Unit Co-Ordinator. Candidates must be highly motivated, creative, and experienced with a passion for engaging with individuals daily. Candidates should be self-driven, focused, and person-centered. As a Day Services Unit Co-ordinator, your role will involve leading and supervising a team of care supporters and managing the day-to-day coordination of the day service units (Intellectual disability and older persons services). All contracts are permanent with the service.

Key Responsibilities:
* Support and facilitate service developments to respond to individuals' changing needs.
* Ensure health and safety compliance for individuals and staff.
* Plan and implement Person-Centred Planning Programmes (PCPs) using evidence-based practices.
* Implement key worker systems.
* Oversee the implementation of New Directions.
* Ensure proper administration of medicines and treatments, maintaining accurate records in line with policies.
* Maintain up-to-date records and documentation in compliance with legislation.
* Oversee staff to ensure efficient and effective unit operation.
* Develop and manage staff rosters, provide supervision, and conduct performance appraisals.
* Facilitate staff training and continuous professional development.
* Allocate staff duties daily, including escorts, bus drivers, and unit staff.
* Provide strong leadership, fostering a culture of quality and safety.
* Motivate staff and maintain a positive team environment.
* Possess administrative skills necessary for post duties.
Minimum Requirements:
* Degree in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, or equivalent (validated by QQI), or RNID/RPN.
* At least 3 years' post-qualification experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
* Significant supervisory experience as a social care professional or nurse.
* Management qualification is advantageous.
* Good knowledge of social care sector issues, regulation, and vision.
* Valid full clean driver’s license.
