Senior Solutions Architect – Finance Systems (Remote / Global)Role Overview:We're working with a global organisation undergoing a large-scale finance systems transformation and seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead the design and deployment of their finance architecture. This is a remote role (global coverage) with regular travel to company sites, working end-to-end on a major implementation of SAP S/4HANA.Key Responsibilities:Lead the day-to-day activities of IT engagements specific to finance: process design, solution architecture, implementation, and lifecycle support.Map business processes and design solutions for Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Asset Accounting, Treasury in a greenfield S/4HANA environment.Define enterprise-wide finance architecture covering General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Controlling, Treasury.Design advanced controlling processes: cost centre, profit centre accounting, product costing, profitability analysis.Scope prospective changes; advise business and ERP/IT leadership.Oversee data extraction, cleansing, mapping, migration, reconciliation.Ensure solutions align with internal controls, audit standards (e.g., SOX) and integrate seamlessly across ERP modules and external systems.Maintain documentation of configurations, processes, change-management; provide technical leadership and mentorship.Support change management, training initiatives and user adoption; assess updates in S/4HANA Finance and recommend efficiency improvements.Required Experience & Skills:Bachelor's or Master's in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems or related field.Minimum ~8 years of experience in SAP Finance, with at least ~3 of those in S/4HANA Finance architecture/implementation and ideally 2 full-cycle S/4HANA projects.Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud environment.Strong understanding of finance business processes and how they translate into SAP solutions.Deep knowledge of S/4HANA concepts: Universal Journal, New Asset Accounting, Lease Accounting, Automated Intercompany Reconciliation (ICMR).Experience with project cut-over, go-live, hyper-care support.Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.Bonus: industry experience (manufacturing/device), experience with Fiori, Central Finance, Group Reporting; technical/systems certifications in SAP Finance or Treasury.Travel & Other Requirements:Significant domestic/international travel (~30%+) to company manufacturing, supplier or customer sites.Must hold or be eligible for required travel/visa documentation for international sites.Why this is a great opportunity:You'll play a key role in shaping the future finance system of a global organisation in a strategic transformation.
