Butcher Opportunity at Moriartys Super Valu, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin.
The Moriarty Group is an Irish owned company involved in both the Retail Grocery and Hospitality Industries. The company’s portfolio currently comprises three large Super Valu Supermarkets in Balbriggan and Skerries in North County Dublin and Palmerstown, Dublin 20. The company also owns two 4* Hotels, the Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan, North County Dublin, and the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare. The company currently employs approximately 550 people.
The Moriarty Group of Super Valu's are 3 of the largest Super Valu stores in the Dublin area. We are currently seeking to recruit a Qualified Butcher to join the Butchery team in our Balbriggan store.

The Role
This is a full-time position working an average of 45 hours per week, 5 days over 7 to include weekends and public holidays.
Main Duties
* Assisting the butchery team in the day to day operations of this busy department
* Butchery duties - preparing cuts of meat for the counter and prepack section.
* Advising customers on product range and answering their questions regarding same.
* General counter service duties
* Counter merchandising/displays.
* Providing excellent customer care to all customers.
* HACCP Duties.
Requirements
* Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.
* A minimum of 2/3 years experience working as a butcher in a busy premises is essential.
* Must have a strong knowledge of fresh meat/butchery products.
* HACCP trained.
* Must have excellent customer care skills
* Must have strong people skills
* Must have strong communications skills
* Must be available to work early starts and late finishes and weekends.
* Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
