Applications are now open for the role of Crew Control Duty Supervisor on an 11 month FTC. Reporting to the Business Support & Crewing Operations Manager, the Crew Control Duty Supervisor role is a specialist role based in the Operations Control Centre (OCC) at Dublin & is part of the overall Crew Control team. The OCC is the operational hub of the airline, a safety critical multi-disciplined & cross functional environment, focused on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, optimum pre-planning & disruption management.
* Manage & oversee the crew control daily workflows for Day of Operation and Pre-Tactical crew control functions.
* Manage monthly crew control rosters on a day to day basis to ensure correct levels of cover in the OCC.
* Accountable for all Crew training activities on published crew rosters for Pilot and Cabin Crew, at all Crew Bases, [Aer Lingus Irish EIN AOC + Aer Lingus EUK AOC].
* Liaise closely with key stakeholders in Flight Operations Training, Training Academy & Inflight Services to Plan training activities to recover, extend or amend training footprints on the published roster & return crew to flying duties post long term absence.
* Provide effective supervision to ensure that all Pilot and Cabin Crew rosters are maintained in the most efficient & cost effective way, in compliance with documented statutory & regulatory requirements.
* Deliver operational crewing efficiency to protect on-time performance through the optimised deployment of Crew Control resources, including standbys & daily crew control activities.
* Implement new technology & innovation initiatives in Crew Control e.g. including the implementation of the AIMS Automated Training module, automation of manual processes & the development of specification documents for further integration with external system providers to enhance automation.
* Review crew controller performance at team and individual level in line with objectives & standards as defined in the Operations Control Manual & the Performance Management System and provide constructive performance related feedback to team members as appropriate.
* Conduct Crew Control Line Evaluations in line with the Ops Control Line Evaluation programme.
* Prepare and submit a weekly crewing operations and crew control performance report to Business Support and Crewing Operations manager.
* Supervise & resolve day to day issues in the Crew Control teams.
* Collect & provide critical operational and roster feedback with the crew control teams, Operations Planning.
* Training of new Crew Controllers and provide on the job support and coaching during probation periods and conduct probationary reviews.

* Implementing and enforce existing and new systems, procedures and policies.
* Develop and support innovation and automation to enhance crewing functions within the OCC and to support the wider efficient delivery of the schedule on a daily basis.
Your Qualifications And Key Criteria
* Provide direction and tactical support to Crew Control, the Operations Control Duty Manager and the wider Operations Control Management Team during periods of schedule disruption.
* Supervise the delivery of Crewing solutions & crew training activities through pre-planning for disruption recovery for short & long-term irregular operations.
* Co-ordinate contingency plans that will protect crewing operations & restore roster stability during & post operational disruption.
* Maintain currency with all crew controller competency and training requirements for both the Day of Ops & Pre-Tactical Crew Control functions.
* Liaise with all crewing stakeholders including Flight Ops Training, Crew Operations, Operations Planning, Schedules Planning, Maintenance Control, OCC teams, & EUK on a planned & ad- hoc basis on all matters relating to crewing in the live and published roster environments.
* Provide expert crewing advice on best practice crewing operations for normal & irregular operations e.g.
* Deputise for the Business Support & Crewing Operations Manager as required, & at departmental interface meetings, union engagement & Fatigue Safety Action group attendance.
* Ensure professional working relationships with all crewing stakeholders both internal & external & represent Crew Control at relevant meetings.
* Strong interpersonal, skills including effective influencing skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the organisation & with external stakeholders.
* Detailed knowledge of EASA FTL scheme, Regulatory governance & rules for crewing operations for Pilots & Cabin Crew & their implications on active / live flight operations.
* Detailed knowledge of Pilot & Cabin Crew working agreements & roster policies.
* Strong organisational skills, ability to multitask, correctly prioritise workload & maintain accurate records.
* Proven ability to manage complex & unpredictable situations, with a calm organised approach & the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Excellent people supervisory skills with the ability to provide effective feedback, ongoing support, coaching and mentoring to the crew control team.
* Demonstrated ability to assess & solve problems in line with Company and regulatory policies and best practice.
* Ability to use own initiative with clear & effective decision-making capability.
* Ability to prioritise multiple task workload & deliver to tight deadlines.
* Flexible with clear understanding OCC priorities & functions.
* Strong work ethic with excellent punctuality & attendance record.
* Results focused, professional approach to work.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
* Eligible to live and work in the EU.
* Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
* Provide 3 verifiable references.
* Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure including a 5-year background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in Dublin.
