Job Title: Cleaner / CaretakerAbout UsWe are a busy and vibrant playcentre and crèche dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for children and families. We are seeking a reliable, diligent, and flexible Cleaner/Caretaker to join our team and help maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe space for both children and staff.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Cleaning DutiesCarry out daily cleaning of all playcentre and crèche areas, including play zones, classrooms, reception, toilets, and staff facilities.Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust as required.Clean windows, mirrors, furniture, and other fixtures.Empty bins and ensure proper waste disposal in line with health and safety guidelines.Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies when needed.Deep Cleaning DutiesUndertake scheduled deep cleaning of carpets, toys, play equipment, and soft furnishings.Disinfect high-touch surfaces and ensure compliance with hygiene standards.Perform periodic deep cleans of kitchens, bathrooms, and crèche areas.Report any potential hygiene or safety concerns to management promptly.Maintenance & Caretaking DutiesConduct routine checks of the premises to identify maintenance issues or potential hazards.Carry out minor repairs (e.g., replacing light bulbs, fixing loose fittings) where possible.Liaise with management to arrange external contractors for larger maintenance needs.Ensure all play equipment is safe, clean, and well-maintained.Requirements & SkillsPrevious cleaning or caretaking experience preferred, ideally in a childcare or leisure environment.Must be eligible for Garda Vetting due to working in a child-centred environment.Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.Friendly, approachable, and able to work well around children and families.Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good communication and problem-solving skills.Physically fit and capable of performing manual cleaning and maintenance tasks.BenefitsSupportive and friendly working environment.Training provided where necessary.Opportunity to work in a fun, child-focused setting.Flexible working hours may be available.Job Type: Part-timePay: €13.50-€15.50 per hourExpected hours: 8 – 12 per weekWork Location: In person
