Role Overview
Heritage Homecare is recruiting Senior Healthcare Assistants to join our South Dublin team on a guaranteed hours contract. The role involves providing temporary care services to new clients or those awaiting discharge, covering planned annual leave and day‑to‑day absences to ensure continuity of care. The Senior Healthcare Assistant reports directly to the Quality Manager and may guide and mentor the new carer team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct client care and initial care to commence new home care packages.
Cover carers for planned annual or sick leave as agreed with the direct line manager.
Effectively communicate with team members and support working relationships with health professionals and office staff.
Respond professionally to emergency on‑call situations, ensuring all client needs are met.
Assist and support the Quality team in ensuring compliance with care standards and regulations.
Guide and mentor other care team members.
Assist with administration of client files and PPE distribution.
Qualifications
QQI Level 6 Healthcare Modules or equivalent.
Experience as a Homecare Assistant.
Full clean driver’s licence and own car.
Fluent in English.
Appropriate permission to work full‑time in Ireland.
