Construction Contract Specialist
As a key member of the construction contracts procurement function and project team, you will be responsible for developing and awarding construction contracts on fast-tracked projects. This involves sourcing and pre-qualifying contractors to ensure they possess the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality results.
Responsibilities:
* Sourcing and Pre-Qualification of Contractors: Identify and evaluate potential contractors to determine their suitability for the project.
* Preparation and Issue of Tenders: Develop and issue tender documents that clearly outline the project requirements and specifications.
* Commercial and Technical Evaluation of Tenders: Assess the tenders received from contractors to determine which one offers the best value for money.
* Chairing Clarification Meetings: Facilitate meetings with contractors to clarify any issues or concerns regarding the tender process.
* Leading Commercial Negotiations: Engage in negotiations with selected contractors to agree on contract terms and conditions.
* Preparing Recommendation Reports for Approval: Compile reports outlining the contractor's proposal, including their experience, qualifications, and pricing.
* Preparing and Updating Procurement Strategies: Develop and maintain strategies for procuring goods and services in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
* Preparing and Updating Procurement Reports: Prepare regular reports on the progress of procurements, highlighting any challenges or areas for improvement.
* Preparation of Contract Documents: Draft and review contract documents to ensure they are accurate and compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
* Monitoring Contractor Performance and Driving Improvement: Regularly assess the performance of contractors to identify areas where they can improve and provide guidance and support to help them achieve better results.
