Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Senior Technical Engineer located in Dundalk, Ireland .
What a typical day looks like: SME for product and components, including training of staff on these.
Provide effective, timely and appropriate technical support to all departments from tender stage to final test and commission.
Handle technical queries from clients and attend meetings where necessary.
Enhance and support the technical aspects of in house and on-site test procedures.
Ensure that technical data presented in documentation is accurate and up to date.
Contribute to the development and improvement of products and processes.
Highlight process deficiencies within the business and suggest improvements.
Provide appropriate feedback regarding the safety and integrity of product builds.
Support site services when issues or queries arise on site.
Contribute to the technical aspects of project submittals.
Draft technical incident reports related to on-site or factory issues.
Source and champion new components to improve product performance, reliability, and reduce costs.
Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and third parties.
Assist with training of new employees in Engineering.
Perform all other technical duties as assigned.
The experience we're looking to add to our team: Be a degree-qualified electrical engineer or electrician with at least 5 years' experience in a similar industry.
Experience in EPMS and communication protocols is advantageous.
In-depth knowledge of electrical components used in switchgear products.
Ability to write clear, concise technical documents and reports.
Understanding of IEC61439 switchgear standards.
Ability to interpret electrical single line diagrams and schematics.
Good communication skills and a professional manner when liaising with clients.
Strong team orientation with a drive for quality improvements.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Good organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Eligible to work in Ireland (EU).
