RGN Electrical & Communications Ltd are continuing to expand and are seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Electrical Engineer / Project Co-Ordinator to join our growing office support team based in Naas, Co. Kildare.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or junior engineer looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and growing electrical contracting company.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Project Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, and project delivery teams, gaining valuable experience across commercial, industrial, and fit-out projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with Electrical Design Reviews, identifying design deviations, contradictions, and scope gaps
Prepare and submit RFIs and Technical Queries to clients and consultants
Prepare, issue, and manage Electrical Technical Submittals
Assist with the preparation and updating of project drawings, including CAD and PDF mark-ups
Compile Operating & Maintenance Manuals and project close-out documentation
Support project teams with change orders, variations, and general project administration
Assist the commercial team with tendering and estimating for new and upcoming projects
Carry out occasional site visits and surveys to monitor installation quality and progress
Ensure systems and installations comply with project specifications and drawings
Provide engineering and administrative support to Project Engineers and Quantity Surveyors
Liaise with engineers, QS teams, subcontractors, site managers, and support staff
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering (Level 8 Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree)
1+ years’ experience in a similar role is desirable
Strong IT skills with experience using AutoCAD / Autodesk software and Microsoft Office packagesExcellent time management and organisational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Must be eligible to work in Ireland
