We are currently seeking a mechanically minded individual to join our team of workshop technicians. The successful applicant will be responsible for fabrication and installation of basic vehicle adaptions and general workshop maintenance. This is a hands-on role most suited to candidates who have previously worked in a mechanical environment, who can analyse a problem, design a solution with assistance and perform necessary tasks quickly and efficiently. Workshop technician responsibilities include;Basic metal fabrication (cutting, grinding, welding), assembly and installation of adaptionsInstallation of bespoke and adaption kits according to company proceduresDrive vehicles into and out of workshop as requiredCompletion of basic administrative procedures such as basic data entry, uploading photographs and inspection forms based on NSAI requirementsMaintenance of a clean and tidy workspaceAdherence to all company health and safety and human resource policiesWe are looking for a self-motivated individual who is willing to learn under supervision and ultimately work independently to produce high quality results.Required skills include;A full, clean, and valid EU driver's licenceGood communication skills and the ability to work as part of a teamDesire/ability to learn new skillsAbility to work under pressureProfessional and mature attitude to workStrong attention to detail while working to strict deadlinesGood standard of EnglishDesirable skills include;Previous mechanical/fabrication experienceBasic computer skills with some knowledge of MS Word and ExcelKnowledge of automotive electricsKnowledge of hydraulicsPrevious experience of working in a quality systemExperience in small equipment maintenanceTerms & BenefitsFull-time, permanent position€30,000 to €32,000 per annum depending on experience (annual performance reviews).
