Supermarket Assistant Manager – Tipperary
Excel Recruitment is seeking an energetic and motivated Supermarket Assistant Manager to join our client's supermarket in Tipperary.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join Ireland's biggest supermarket chain and to support the Store Manager in leading the team, optimising store operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Salary: €50k – €55k
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Store Manager in leading and developing a team to achieve store objectives and deliver excellent customer service
2. Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
3. Maintain high standards of customer service, addressing customer queries and concerns promptly and professionally
4. Assist in managing inventory levels, reducing wastage, and ensuring stock availability
5. Support the implementation of merchandising plans, maintaining the store's visual standards, and coordinating promotional activities
6. Assist in recruitment, training, and performance management of staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment
7. Help drive store sales, contribute to achieving financial targets, and manage budgets effectively
Requirements:
8. Experience in a supervisory role in a supermarket or retail environment
9. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
