DRIVER / GENERAL OPERATIVE

About the Role:
We're looking for a reliable and customer-focused Driver/General Operative to join our team at Shanley Interiors. This varied role combines delivery driving with hands-on assembly and installation work, as well as warehouse support.
Key Responsibilities:
∙ Deliver furniture and home interior items to customers' homes nationwide across Ireland
∙ Undertake long-distance travel for deliveries when required
∙ Assemble furniture professionally in customers' homes
∙ Hang curtains, roman blinds, and window blinds
∙ Hang pictures, mirrors, and other decorative items
∙ Remove and dispose of packaging and old furniture as required
∙ Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and installations
∙ Assist with warehouse operations including receiving and dispatching stock
∙ Load and unload delivery vehicles safely
∙ Maintain delivery vehicle in clean and roadworthy condition
What We're Looking For:
∙ Full clean driving licence (essential)
∙ Comfortable with long-distance driving across Ireland
∙ Hands-on experience with furniture assembly and installation (essential)
∙ Excellent practical DIY skills with attention to detail
∙ Previous delivery or driving experience preferred
∙ Good physical fitness for lifting and carrying
∙ Excellent customer service skills and professional manner
∙ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
∙ Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
∙ Flexible approach to varied daily tasks
What We Offer:
∙ Competitive hourly rate: €16-€18 per hour (depending on experience)
∙ Full-time position: 45 hours per week
