Your mission
The purpose of this role is to coordinate and maintain the organisation's compliance, data protection, and quality governance activities. The role ensures that policies, records, and assurance processes are accurate, up to date, and fully auditable - supporting Medmark's ongoing compliance with GDPR, SEQOHS, and client-specific governance requirements.
This position blends hands-on documentation and record management with broader compliance oversight. It serves as a central point of contact for non-clinical governance activities, ensuring consistent standards, improved assurance, and robust data protection operations across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance & Governance
* Maintain and update the organisation's suite of compliance and governance policies.
* Coordinate routine compliance reviews, audits, and quality assurance activities.
* Track, document, and follow up on compliance actions and improvement recommendations.
* Prepare governance reports and documentation for internal and external review.
* Support accreditation and certification processes (e.g., SEQOHS, FSQS).
Data Protection & Information Governance
* Support the Data Protection Officer in ensuring GDPR compliance across the organisation.
* Maintain records of processing activities (ROPAs), DPIAs, and data protection documentation.
* Log, track, and coordinate responses to data subject requests and data protection queries.
* Assist with breach logging, investigation support, and mitigation documentation.
* Promote data protection awareness and good information governance practices.
Documentation & Quality Management
* Manage central repositories for policies, SOPs, records, and evidence.
* Ensure documentation is version-controlled and aligned to governance standards.
* Support quality improvement initiatives and ensure consistent implementation across sites.
* Assist the Quality Management Team in preparing for audits and governance reviews.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as the first point of contact for non-clinical governance queries.
* Work closely with IT, HR, Practice Managers, and other teams to ensure consistent compliance practices.
* Support internal communications related to compliance, governance, and data protection updates.
Your profile
Essential
* Experience in compliance, quality governance, data protection, or similar role.
* Strong documentation, organisational, and analytical skills.
* Understanding of GDPR and information governance principles.
* Ability to manage multiple workstreams and maintain accurate records.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable
* Experience with SEQOHS, or similar governance frameworks.
* Knowledge of healthcare, occupational health, or regulated environments.
* Experience supporting internal audits or quality management processes.
Qualifications:
* Third level qualification
* Qualification or working towards recognised qualifications in the areas of organisational governance, risk, audit/assurance and/or information governance
* Evidence of willingness to undertake professional development
* Certified Data Management Professional or Data Analytics Course (Desirable)
