Location: Sligo based project until August 2026, move to Cavan based project thereafter
Job Summary:
The Project Manager will take full responsibility for the delivery of a large, complex energy project, from pre-construction through commissioning and handover. The role requires strong civil engineering oversight, rigorous budget and commercial management, and confident leadership of electrical works with significant technical and interface complexity, including long cable routes, multiple transformers, and complex site tie-ins.
This is a delivery-critical role with direct accountability for programme, cost, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership &Delivery
Client engagement and interfacing
Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, executing plans to achieve agreed outcomes.
Maintain accurateand up to date documentation.
Equipment Specification
Oversee day-to-day site operations, managing subcontractors and internal finishes.
Management of assigned Budget
Quality, Health,Safety and Environmental responsibility for your projects, ensuring the highest levels of health, safety, and quality.
Technical support to customers
Assist in any otherduties which may encompass the role.
Resolve critical site issuesand address delays,bad weather, or emergencies.
Lead and coordinate projectactivities in alignment with company standards and client satisfaction goals.
Manage the project in line with production targets,ensuring subcontractors meet program deadlines.
Agree on subcontractors' long-term and short-term programs, monitoring their performance.
Provide leadership, technical expertise, and management throughout the project life cycle.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
5 + years of Construction project delivery experience.
Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering (or equivalent)
Proven experience delivering large-scale energy or infrastructure projects
Strong background in civilworks and site construction management
Demonstrable experience managing budgets, subcontractors, and commercial risk
Experience delivering projects with complex electrical scopes
Strong leadership and decision-making capability
Full driving licence
Desirable
Experience with industrial energy or complexelectrical infrastructure projects
Experience with long cable routes, multipletransformers, or complexsite tie-ins
Familiarity with Irish construction contracts and site conditions
