Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Communications Officer (Research) within UCD Earth Institute.
The UCD Earth Institute is seeking a 0.6FTE Communications Officer (Research) to support the Institute's research community in enhancing the reach and societal impact of their work and in doing so help enhance the profile of the Institute, the University and environmental, climate and sustainability research in general.
The UCD Earth Institute is the University's institute for environmental, climate and sustainability research.
The Institute has a membership of over 220 academics spanning 30 UCD Schools and has active links with a wide range of collaborators and stakeholders.
The Institute fosters interdisciplinary research within and beyond UCD through an active programme of events and activities designed to bring researchers together from across different disciplines, to start new conversations, spark new ideas and support new initiatives relating to research and education, policy and governance, innovation and enterprise, and engagement and society.
The Communications Officer (Research) will provide practical support, tools and training to the Institute's research community to help them build relationships with relevant stakeholder groups, communicate their research findings and to maximise the impact of their work.
The Communications Officer will develop and support a range of projects, platforms and initiatives, primarily within the Earth Institute research community but at times working with and for other UCD units.
Salary: €62,400 (€37,440 pro rata 0.6 fte) per annum.
