This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced nurse to contribute meaningfully to the care of individuals with complex and enduring mental health conditions in a therapeutic, supportive environment. Your Key Responsibilities As a General Health Nurse (CNM2), your role will include: Providing general and preventative health services to residents Managing chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, COPD, CHD, hypertension) in collaboration with GPs and the MDT Conducting physical assessments and health screenings (e.g., ECG, BMI, urinalysis, spirometry) Performing wound care, phlebotomy, injections, and vaccinations Participating in emergency management including anaphylaxis and resuscitation Developing and auditing individualised physical healthcare plans Promoting infection prevention and supporting staff training initiatives Engaging in continuous professional development and supporting clinical governance Liaising effectively with residents, families, carers, and clinical teams Who Were Looking For Essential: Registered General Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with NMBI Minimum 3 years of post-registration experience Strong clinical competencies and understanding of general health in a mental health setting Proficiency in venepuncture, ECG monitoring, and chronic disease management Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills Strong IT and documentation skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Desirable: Experience in mental health or neuropsychiatric settings Skills in tissue viability, continence care, and management of minor injuries/illness Why Join us ?
