About the Role:

As the Front Office Supervisor, you will stand at the forefront of our guest experience, leading a team dedicated to excellence. You'll oversee the daily operations of our front desk, ensuring smooth check-ins, personalised service, and seamless coordination with other departments. With an unwavering focus on continuous improvement and a drive for standardising our procedures, you'll inspire your team to exceed guest expectations and create lasting impressions that keep them coming back for more.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide guidance, training, and support to team members of varying experience levels, fostering professionalism and with a focus on continuous improvement - in line with company objectives
* Prepare weekly rosters, ensuring efficient scheduling of team members to meet operational needs and maintain productivity during each shift.
* Assist in reviewing, updating, documenting, and communicating new standard operating procedures, ensuring thorough training for all team members.
* Foster a positive team culture, promoting collaboration within team and other departments and maintain a cohesive and productive work environment among Front Office and Guest Services team members.
* Disseminate guest feedback to the entire team to enhance guest service and operational efficiency in collaboration with senior management.
* Oversee the smooth daily operations of the front desk, including warmly greeting guests, managing check-ins and check-outs, and attending to special requests, ensuring adherence to hotel standards.
* Provide exemplary customer service by anticipating and fulfilling guest needs, offering local recommendations, and promptly addressing queries and concerns.
* Handle cash, credit card, and voucher transactions accurately and securely, ensuring compliance with established procedures and policies.
* Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, following established protocols and communicating significant issues to management when necessary.
* Assist in promoting sales opportunities within the department and provide support across various areas of the hotel as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

* Extensive experience in 4/5-star hotel operations – 1 year in a supervisory or senior capacity in a busy hotel Front Office with a strong background in Front Office systems (HotSoft / Siteminder etc.) advantageous
* Strong Interpersonal & Communication Skills - Essential for cultivating positive interactions with guests, colleagues, and vendors – across a variety of nationalities and experience levels, ensuring a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere at the hotel reception
* Ability to take initiative to independently manage situations that may arise
* Strong leadership, with the ability to motivate, supervise and train an established team. Confident Team supervision skills – ability to embrace change, foster teamwork and set clear, achievable goals for their team – taking a proactive approach in team development
* Knowledgeable in revenue optimisation, upselling and cross selling and experience in handling financial transactions (cash / credit card / voucher handling / invoicing)
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
* Fluency in English required; additional language skills are a plus.
* Physical stamina for standing for extended periods of time and carrying items in line with Manual Handling best practice.
* Energetic, Friendly, Approachable, Professional, Team player, Courteous and Impeccable presentation.
