The Conference & Banqueting Manager plays a pivotal role in the hotel's success by delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless experience for clients that fosters repeat business and referrals.
Key Responsibilities
* Optimize conference & banqueting facilities on site to maximize availability and client satisfaction through effective planning and smooth delivery of services.
* Collaborate with Sales to understand event requirements and preferences, driving revenue growth and profitability.
* Plan and coordinate conferences, banquets, and events, including meeting space, catering, audio-visual equipment, and decor, ensuring a memorable experience for attendees.
* Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout event execution phases, providing timely support and resolving queries professionally.
* Ensure all client requests are handled proactively and efficiently to deliver faultless client experiences, resulting in positive feedback and referrals.
* Oversee and manage banquet and event staff, providing proper training to deliver high-quality service and exceeding client expectations.
* Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the C&B department, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
* Maximize revenue and profitability from various market segments, driving business growth and success.
* Effectively manage conference/event enquiries, databases, reports, and site inspections, maintaining accurate records and providing insights to inform decision-making.
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the department, adhering to health and safety standards.
* Manage wage costs and staffing according to targets set by senior management.
