The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of van sales and merchandising experience in FMCG.
The purpose of the role is to build a solid customer base, grow sales and acquire new customers within a target region of Ireland.The role will include merchandising and account development, with the full support of the Managing Director.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the Managing Director to understand key priorities/objectives.
Drive new business within a target area.
Account Management of existing customers, increasing brand awareness and upselling.
Understand clearly the needs of the customer.
Influence with impact.
Build solid relationships with store owners/buyers/store managers.
Attend events to represent the company on occasion.
Generate new ideas and ways of working.
Trouble shoot ideas as they arise.
Strive for continuous improvement and high performance.
Hold regular one to one catch up meetings, with Managing Director.
Effective and efficient task and time management.
Products include in demand market leading consumer electronics, toiletries and light hardware.
Business hours 9am - 5pm. First call 9am, last call 5pm.
Skills and Behaviours
Full clean Irish driving license.
Previous FMCG sales and merchandising experience, in the forecourt and convenience sector preferred, ideally Spar, Eurospar, Centra, Supervalu.
Experience selling consumers electronics a distinct advantage.
Good up to date understanding of the FMCG market.
Self- starter, self- motivated.

Package
€34,000 basic salary.
Bonus on company target, plus other benefits.
Company van.
6 month probation, with opportunity to continue and expand role.
Overall package circa €50k for the right experience.
