Summary
A leading Irish MMC company is looking to appoint a Junior Health & Safety Officer to support their growing EHSQ function.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career Safety professional to develop within a high-performing, safety-focused organisation delivering large-scale residential and commercial projects across Ireland.
The Role:
Reporting to the EHSQ Manager, you will be based primarily in the company's factory in Laois, with some exposure to live construction sites. You will support the implementation and monitoring of Health & Safety systems across both manufacturing and site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the EHSQ Manager with day-to-day H&S administration
* Support internal and external audits (factory & site)
* Maintain H&S documentation, records, RAMS and training logs
* Conduct site and factory inspections and safety walks
* Assist with incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions
* Help roll out safety initiatives, inductions and toolbox talks
* Ensure compliance with Irish H&S legislation and company standards
Ideal Background:
* Degree / Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (or similar)
* 1–3 years' experience in construction, manufacturing or engineering environment
* Strong organisational and admin skills
* Confident communicator with a proactive attitude
* Ambition to progress into a senior H&S role over time
