Identity & Access Engineering Lead
This role is responsible for the design and implementation of identity and access management solutions in a large, distributed environment.
The Role
* You will lead technical work across the organisation's IGA platform, designing integrations, refining lifecycle events, supporting certifications, building automation, and troubleshooting platform behaviour when things don't act as expected.
* You will partner with application teams, cloud, and platform engineering to ensure smooth onboarding and consistent access standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and maintain the enterprise IGA platform
* Onboard applications using common connectors (AD, JDBC, SCIM, cloud directories)
* Develop and refine joiner/mover/leaver flows, certifications and role structures
* Create integrations, REST APIs and automation pipelines
* Support upgrades, patches and performance tuning
* Troubleshoot multi-tier issues across the platform and its integrations
* Collaborate with internal teams on access design and standardisation
* Contribute to documentation, runbooks and technical reference material
Your skills and experience should include 7-10 years in identity engineering, access governance or similar roles, strong experience with enterprise IGA tooling, background building lifecycle events, certifications and role models, hands-on experience with AD, cloud directories and connector onboarding, proficiency in Java and familiarity with scripting/templating, experience with REST APIs, XML/JSON and modern CI/CD tooling, strong troubleshooting ability across complex application stacks and comfort working in structured, regulated or large enterprise environments.
