Medforce are hiring a Radiographer on behalf of a highly renowned acute facility in South Dublin.

The Radiographer will provide a high standard of radiographic imaging in General X-ray, contributing to the delivery of a safe, effective, and patient-centred radiology service. You will work as part of a strong, supportive radiography department, ensuring timely imaging and high-quality care in line with best practice and departmental policies.

This is a 35 hour contract for an initial 6 month period.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

* Perform a wide range of general radiographic examinations to a high diagnostic standard.
* Adhere to local imaging protocols and radiation safety guidelines.
* Ensure patient safety, comfort, and dignity are prioritised at all times.
* Participate in out-of-hours/on-call rotas as required.
* Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary colleagues including radiologists, nurses, and referring clinicians.


Clinical

* Perform a wide range of general radiographic examinations to a high diagnostic standard.
* Adhere to local imaging protocols and radiation safety guidelines.
* Ensure patient safety, comfort, and dignity are prioritised at all times.

* Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary colleagues including radiologists, nurses, and referring clinicians.


Quality & Safety

* Maintain compliance and all relevant radiation protection legislation.
* Contribute to quality assurance programmes within the department.
* Report equipment faults promptly and assist in maintaining high standards of imaging equipment.
* Follow infection prevention and control policies rigorously.


Professional Development

* Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) and keep up to date with advances in radiographic practice.
* Participate in departmental audits, research, and teaching where appropriate.
* Contribute to training and support of student radiographers and junior staff.


Administration

* Ensure accurate recording of imaging examinations on PACS/RIS.
* Contribute to effective scheduling and patient flow within the department.
* Comply with hospital policies including confidentiality and data protection.


Qualifications & Experience

* BSc (Hons) in Radiography or equivalent qualification recognised by CORU.
* CORU registration
* Full working rights for Ireland. Visa support/sponsorship is not offered.
