We are currently recruiting a Professional Support Lawyer in the Finance and Capital Markets department at Matheson. You are likely to be an experienced finance lawyer with a background and interest in Banking and Finance. The role can be full-time or part-time and is flexible within our hybrid working model. The successful candidate will work closely with the partners in FCM and the Head of Knowledge Management.ResponsibilitiesContributing to the effective design, implementation and management of the firm’s Knowledge Management function;Monitoring new and proposed legislation, case law, changes in law & practice developments;Preparing updates, analysis and insights for our team and our clients;Providing technical expertise and support to the team, conducting research and providing training;Updating precedents, practice notes and other internal knowledge material;Collaborating on the design and delivery of innovative value‑add services to clients;Participating in submissions to government and regulatory bodies, supporting and participating in industry working groups.Skills and experienceExperienced banking and finance lawyer from a market leading practice;An interest in the development of AI, digital solutions and use of digital platforms;Excellent written and communication skills, demonstrating creativity, thought leadership and analytical thinking;Strong drafting and research skills, with attention to detail;Ability to work independently and using own initiative while also being able to collaborate as part of a team.BenefitsCompetitive benefits package is offered in a hybrid working policy.We value a diverse and inclusive workforce and are an equal opportunities employer.
