Post Summary
The School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies welcomes applications from candidates with excellent research and teaching potential for the position of Assistant Professor of Digital Humanities.
This is a 5 Year Fixed Term – Tenure Track Full Time post.
The successful candidate will have a doctorate in hand at the time of application (applications from ABD candidates will NOT be considered, no matter how close you are to completion).
Candidates will have expertise in the digital humanities, with a specific emphasis on computational methods, digital storytelling and/or and digital cultural heritage.
They must be willing and able to contribute to enhancing the curriculum, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including designing new modules in their subject(s) of expertise.
They will be expected to contribute to developments in the digital humanities, showcasing expertise in computational methods.
Closing Date: 12 Noon Irish time, 28th July 2025
Post status: Tenure Track - This position is Tenure Track position which is 5-years in the first instance, permanency is subject to satisfying the tenure requirements.
Hours of Work: Hours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements.

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Lecturer Full Salary Scale (€42,500- €101,541 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
