St. Margarets Network is currently recruiting a Team Leader to work closely with the people we support and their families and their circle of support in their own homes.
The Team Leader will guide the delivery of flexible and responsive rights-based supports, with a strong focus on Supported Self-Directed Living (SSDL). The role ensures that supports reflect each individual's will, preference and choice as their needs change over time.

The Role
The Team Leader reports to the Assistant Person Support Manager and provides leadership to designated number of people supported by their Person Support Team and wider circles of support.
The Role Involves
Supporting individuals to exercise their rights and express their will and preferences in their own homes
Ensuring that supports remain flexible, person-centred and outcome focused
Maintaining meaningful engagement with each individual and their circle of support
Leading, mentoring and guiding staff to build the right relationships
Monitoring and assuring the quality, safety and effectiveness of supports
Promoting a culture of accountability, inclusion and high-quality practice
The Team Leader has regular and direct engagement with individuals to ensure their voice remains central to all decisions. The role requires oversight of service delivery while also modelling best practice in rights-based support. This role also requires flexible working arrangements to meet the needs of the persons supported.
The Ideal Candidate
The Successful Candidate Will
Have experience working in rights-based disability services
Demonstrate strong leadership and mentoring skills
Build and sustain trusting professional relationships
Support the development of effective circles of support
Take a positive, solution-focused approach to challenges
To ensure the support are of high quality and uphold the persons will and preference
Work flexibly and confidently both independently and within a team
Qualifications
Level 7 degree (minimum Level 6 considered) in Health, Social Care, Applied Social Studies, or a related field
Experience, Knowledge And Skills
Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
Experience of individualised support arrangements
Knowledge of current disability policy, human rights legislation, and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD)
Experience supporting individuals in a HIQA regulated environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to lead and motivate a team
Well-developed organisational and time management skills
Excellent level of written and spoken English
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft 365
Full clean drivers licence (Category B for manual cars)
Desirable
Knowledge of Social Role Valorisation (SRV)
Knowledge of Supported Self-Directed Living (SSDL)
