They provide biomass and solar renewable energy technologies and solutions. They are seeking a Contracts Manager to join their solar PV team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager eager to advance their career and contribute to the energy transition.Reporting to the Managing Director and a member of the leadership team, the Contracts Manager will be responsible for Solar PV Projects, including costing and installation. The role involves ensuring projects are accurately costed, delivered on time and within budget, and compliant with all Health and Safety standards. The position is suitable for candidates from an electrical or mechanical background in construction. Prior experience in Solar PV projects is not mandatory, as training will be provided. The role requires some time in the Tipperary office, on-site work, and remote working.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the project during the preparation phase, including defining the site team, reviewing documentation, procuring equipment and subcontractors.Manage the execution of one or multiple PV solar projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.Ensure project completion on time, under budget, and meeting quality and HSA standards.Lead and ensure compliance with all Health and Safety requirements.Oversee project control processes: cost controls, contract management, and scheduling.Lead project team members within the organization and contractors.Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing project updates and alternative plans to address deviations.Interface directly with clients on key contracts.Identify potential problems proactively and implement preventive measures, including contingency planning.Deliver projects in accordance with contractual obligations.Prepare project reports (internal and external).Establish cost reports and KPIs for project control.Candidate RequirementsDegree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related).Minimum of 5 years project management experience with medium to large electrical/mechanical projects, preferably in the energy sector.Project Management qualification or PMP certification is advantageous.Experience in Contract, Risk, and Procurement Management.Deep knowledge of project controls including cost, contract management, and scheduling.Proficiency with planning software.Compliance with HSE & Quality Management policies and procedures.AttributesStrong communication skills.Flexible and adaptable to changing environments.Leadership capability for focused teams.Customer and business-oriented mindset, with effective stakeholder management.Creative problem-solving skills for critical projects and crises.Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and negotiate solutions.Capability to lead in a complex, matrix organization.Resilience under stress and in adverse environments.Approach to project execution that minimizes surprises.
