Read more: careers.bms.com/working-with-us.**Position Summary:**Provision of support, communications and advice to Maintenance and Critical Utilities, but also be able to support all other departments and employees in Cruiserath Biologics in relation to Safety, Emergency Response, Occupational Hygiene and Ergonomics and activities to support EHSS Systems**Key Responsibilities:*** Responsible for implementing and improving EHSS programs and policies to meet BMS standards and comply with EU and local regulations.* Apply EHS regulatory program requirements in a manufacturing setting.* Ensure BMS Ireland programs and site procedures align with Local/EU EHSS Legislation and Corporate EHSS Directives.* Accountable for EHSS regulatory preparedness and building rapport and trust through all interactions with external agencies and internal stakeholders.* Support Maintenance and Critical Utilities* Participate in the continuous improvement of site EHSS culture and model best practices.* Provide technical acumen and oversight to all Environmental EHSS programs and activities on-site.* Participate and support EHS operational and tier discussions, EHSS committees and teams, and EHSS self-assessments and audits.* Support the BMS Cruiserath Safety Culture Program on site and support areas to embed and sustain their local SAT boards.* Approve chemicals for use on site.* Stop operations and activities that could harm the environment, workforce, or facilities.* Identify and implement solutions to eliminate environmental and safety excursions.* Provide EHSS expertise, technical advice, and field support across all Irish locations, including projects, manufacturing, and engineering departments.* Ensure personnel are aware of their responsibilities regarding environmental and safety controls and reporting, providing training as required.* Use EHSS platforms for investigation, inspection, and compliance.* Execute recordkeeping and reporting at national, state, and province levels, as well as within BMS stipulated structures and timing.* Bring new approaches to continually improve the effectiveness of workflows and processes and learn and apply new concepts.* Perform EHSS audits/inspections to verify compliance with BMS directives and local/European legislation.* Support and conduct EHSS documented periodic reviews of site procedures.* Support EHSS governance meetings, and communicate to key stakeholders* Support BMS and external EHSS audits, lead audit preparation for ExM audits, and coordinate responses and follow-up actions.* Ensure all staff receive appropriate EHSS Induction and update content as required.* Provide EHSS support for site facility projects, change controls,* Report incidents and support subsequent investigations, actions, and compliance tasks.* Advise and support EHSS training for staff at both internal and external manufacturing locations.* Support the EHSS systems audit program.**Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:*** Degree level in a Safety Discipline or relevant discipline* Degree level in a Safety Discipline with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a safety role* Attention to detail, problem solving skills, excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously are necessary for this role**Why you should apply*** You will help patients in their fight against serious diseases* You will be part of a company that encourages excellence and innovation, respects diversity, develops leaders and values its employees.* You’ll get a competitive salary and a great benefits package including an annual bonus, pension contribution, family medical allowance, 27 days of annual leave, life assurance and on-site gym**#LI-Onsite***If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
